Fortera is searching for a Plant Operator for our newly built computer-controlled pilot plant located in Redding, CA. For this position, plant operation experience is desired but not necessary. Candidates with innate intelligence and capacity to learn how to run the plant safely and efficiently will be strongly considered. This role is suited for someone willing to learn pilot plant operations with ideally hands-on mechanical maintenance and construction experience. During the plants operation, the person will follow Standard Operating Procedures and will be involved in maintaining and upgrading the plant as needed to accomplish the technology development.
The Senior Materials Handling Engineer will lead engineering efforts for the successful design and operation of all Fortera bulk material handling processes: flow rates, storage capacity, integration with product lines, mineral grinding, kiln operation/calcination, mineral dissolution, gas absorption, precipitation, solids dewatering, and drying.
This is a hands-on role requiring a driven, experienced mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineer who would be able to own and drive design decision points with respect to process set up and equipment selection such as belt conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, blenders, mixers, silos and hoppers.
The Senior Process Engineer will lead engineering support for successful design and operation of all Fortera processes: mineral grinding, kiln operation/calcination, mineral dissolution, gas absorption, precipitation, solids dewatering, and drying.
This is a hands-on role requiring a driven, experienced mechanical or chemical engineer who would be versatile enough to bridge the gap between R&D and outside engineering firms.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist with specialized knowledge in wet chemistry for calcium carbonate materials. As a senior member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for leading and conducting research, development, and optimization of the wet chemistry process to produce calcium carbonate materials. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize existing processes, drive innovation, develop new methodologies, and ensure efficient and cost-effective production.
