Paving the Way to Zero CO₂ Cement
ReAct™ Product - Highly Engineered, Customizable Green Cement

What is ReAct™?

Low to zero CO2 cementitious product solution commercially produced through Fortera’s ReCarb® Plants.

The ReAct™ product portfolio contains two primary solutions: ReAct™ Blend—engineered to work with cement to improve early strength and flow—and ReAct™ Pure—a standalone cement replacement.

ReAct™ is a reactive calcium carbonate polymorph, known as vaterite, which can be blended into ASTM C150, C595, or C1157 cements or mixed into concrete during batching.

ReAct™ Products

ReAct™ Blend

Blend

ReAct™ Blend is a performance enhancing supplement to Portland Cement. It’s fineness and morphology are highly engineered to increase packing efficiency, accelerate cement hydration, and improve workability.

  • Low Clinker Blend
  • Ample Surface Area for Nuclear Effect
  • Improved Particle Packing
  • Faster Strength Gain
  • Strong Reactivity with Alumina
ReAct™ Pure

Pure

ReAct™ Pure is a 100% replacement for Portland Cement, that is a reactive form of calcium carbonate known as vaterite. A binder based on the transformation of vaterite to aragonite or calcite, which has been successfully utilized to manufacture building materials.

  • High CO₂ Avoidance
  • Strength to Weight Ratio
  • Rapid Curing at Elevated Temperatures
  • Dimensionally Stable
  • Superior Whiteness
How to Use ReAct™

Portland Limestone Cement

Create Portland Limestone Cement product profiles with ReAct™ to make a decarbonized cement product solution that has higher strengths than traditional Type IL and increased flow compared to Ordinary Portland Cement and Portland Limestone Cement. Use it for structural concrete applications such as ready-mix, precast, and paving.

Portland Limestone Cement Extender

Utilize Portland Limestone Cement inventory by adding ReAct™ as an extender, resulting in similar strengths to traditional Type IL and improved workability. Use it for structural concrete applications such as ready-mix, precast components, as well as general construction elements suitable for masonry works.

Slag Extender

Utilize Slag inventory by adding ReAct™ as an extender to increase early-age strength and decreased set times. Use it in structural and durable concrete applications, high sulfate resistant concrete, low shrinkage concrete, and technical dry mix mortars.

Fly Ash Extender

Utilize Fly Ash inventory by adding ReAct™ as an extender to increase early-age strength and decreased set times. Use it in pumped concrete, mass concrete (low heat), resistance to ASR, geotechnical applications, and sulfate resistance.

LC3 Enhancer

Create VC³ (Vaterite Calcined Clay Cement) and VC²: Blended SCM of Vaterite and Calcined clay with ReAct™, resulting in improved workability and decreased high range water demand. Use it in ready-mix concrete, precast components, mortars (such as tile adhesives), and building chemistry applications.

Fiber-Cement Board

ReAct™ Pure is a low CO2 binder successfully used in the formulation of fiber-cement boards. It can be used for indoors for tile backer boards and outdoors for sheathing boards, siding, and trim.

Lightweight Aggregate

ReAct™ lightweight aggregate is a white calcium carbonate aggregate formed from ReAct™ Pure. ReAct Pure enables the production of lightweight concrete complying with ASTM C330 requirements.
